What a difference 1.5 degrees makes!

As always I was delighted to be joined by Caroline for this morning’s swim. The sunshine was sparkling off the water and the gentle breeze was wonderful. But the most interesting aspect was the rise in sea temperature up to 7.3 degrees and both of us were surprised at the difference those additional 1.5 degrees made.

Many thanks to the contributions added to my donation box, it’s greatly appreciated.

One visitor to the Brightlingsea remarked that Caroline looked like she was swimming in the Seychelles! Interesting she made no comment about my splashing around!

In the afternoon I went for a walk around the Promenade and spotted Nicki the Lido Manager in the office at the pool. It was great to catch up with her and hear the plans to get the wonderful Brightlingsea Lido up and ready for the spring.

And after today’s swim I only have 500m to complete this winter’s Arctic Polar Bear challenge :)
