A few action videos made by friends

Swimming in the snow on Tuesday 9th February

Ever since I started this challenge I hoped that I would have the chance to swim in the snow. As well as the uncertainty as to whether we would see snow this winter in Tendring’s Sunshine Coast, there was also the requirement for there to be snow during the small window of high tide when I swim from the Brightlingsea promenade.

On Tuesday 9th February everything came together…..

Scaring off my feathered friend

A friend who has seen me swim a couple of times noticed that the seagull sitting on the post which I swim out to flies off as a approach. When it's a cormorant, which happens from time to time I try and give the post a wider berth. However quite often after some visual investigation, the birds usually fly off - no doubt stunned and appalled! So here is a clip of me approaching the post and scaring my feathered friend!

A bumpy start to a bright Saturday afternoon

Thanks to Anavajja for this footage on a blustery late afternoon on 19th December as the set was setting beautifully over East Mersea Island.
