3000m in March completed

Despite rather a drab day I decided to stick with my plan and complete my “final” swim of the challenge, bringing up the 3000m for March. This means I have officially completed the Arctic Polar Bear Challenge for this winter. So far I have swum 19,500m and intend to continue for the remainder of March just to see how far I can get. I have also been encouraged by those people still making donations for the St Helena Hospice and Colchester Buddhist Centre, so want to honour their generosity.

Before I started my swim I wandered around the corner of splash point to see my two favourite wild water swimmers, who have probably spent as much time in the water this winter as me, albeit as penguins rather than polar bears!

It has been great seeing them on a number of occasions this winter. Thank you both for your encouragement x

My two intrepid friends

It’s too early to start thinking about next winter……..however…… the Apprentice Jedi Bear does look quite enticing! I may be on pilgrimage in India for a large part of next winter, so it may not be possible, however we shall see…….
