A bit more like winter; grey, bleak and drizzly

Today was my first swim when it really felt like winter. The timing of the high tide co-incided with a drizzly down pour which had the effect of deserting the prom. So it was the first time I’ve felt a bit more alone, since I began this challenge in November. The water was slightly colder too; 6.6 degrees and the offshore wind whistled a cold 3 degree air temperature round me when I got out. Still I had icing from the delicious Christmas cake which Cheryl made and Sandra decorated so the sugar hit soon warmed me up and the rain stopped for the ride home. The tides start getting too late for the rest of the week so I will have an enforced break now until Monday 11th when I’ll be back.
